  1. I’m still waiting for funds to arrive in my new Interbank Fx Australia account. It’s bit frustrating – already missed out on 23 pips because of some unexpected delays.

  2. I thought I was transferring my IBFX US account to IBFX Australia when I tried to open a live account because the application process copied all my details from my IBFX US live account. However after I have received an email with my new live account login details with IBFX AU, I received another email with a warning as shown below:

Congratulations! Your IBFX Australia account has been approved. While the identification documents you previously provided in relation to your account with Interbank FX in the US were sufficient, IBFX Australia needs updated identification documents to maintain your account in IBFX Australia. Within 5 business days, you must provide certified identification documents or the status of your account may be affected. You simply need to provide a certified copy of your Driver’s License, Passport, or other Government issued ID which shows your name, home address, and/or date of birth. By funding your account, you are agreeing to these terms. Please follow the link below for information on how to certify your documents:

Documents may be submitted online through your Dashboard at the following link: https://www.ibfx.com.au/Authentication
You must select the message inbox to create a new message and attach/upload files.

We thank you for your cooperation. If you are unable to upload documents through your Dashboard documents may be submitted by email to accounts@ibfx.com.au or by fax to 212-884-0609 (international).

    Kind Regards,

    New Accounts Department

I am kind of worried about funding this new account because I am worried they will close it down.

Did you get this from them as well Richard?

  3. Hi Ling,

I’ve had accounts at InterbankFx in the US for about 3 years. To open an Australian account, I just logged on to their Website, and followed the instructions on setting up a new account.

I did have to provide my identification information again, even though InterbankFx in the US already have it. I assume they need recent information to comply with Australian regulations. I uploaded the documents using their web site.

At this stage the account is open, and I’m waiting for the funds to arrive. Hopefully I can start trading tomorrow.

  4. Richard,

I have received a call from someone in the account department of IBFX AU. He assured me no additional document is required since I am existing customer. Looks like everything is sorted. I am waiting to see the performance of your account before deciding if I should trade with IBFX AU.

  5. That’s good Ling.

Perhaps I didn’t need to provide my ID information again.

Anyway, I’m still waiting for the money to arrive in the account. Hopefully it’ll be up and running next week. Just a shame I missed some good trades this week.

  6. Hi Tedstr,

I’ve just checked my trade records. All my trades that closed out over 10 pips on this trade day were actually S2 type trades i.e aggressive mode trades. You can tell what trades are S1 or S2 by looking at the “magic number” in the MT4 detailed account statement.
