I’m running two MD on demo accounts and one live. Both demos took tonights trades as yours but my live account didnt make a trade with Alpari (Classic). Anyone know why MD behaves like that?
Hi NKD,
Have a look at the messages under the MT4 terminal “Experts” tab. Perhaps there was a requote or a server disconnection at the time.
Also look at the chart and make sure Megadroid is Authenticated.
Xere, is that result running Megadroid on your new VPS server?
Hi Richard,
Finally got my mt4 live account setup and traded for the first time tonight on FXCM.
It got 10.4 pips tonight, not sure why it’s so much less than the ones you have but a win is a win. 🙂
E.
No, sadly I have not yet my new Forex VPS. They think tomorrow I could run it. It is still running on IamFX free VPS.
Elvis, your trade is not so different than ours. Note that Richard get just 11 pips on his Forex.com account. And 1 pip different could mean different spreads.
Hi Xere,
It is pretty close, I was watching it when it was over 11 pips and was tempted to close the trade manually, lol.
Actually, I closed it today because I was late starting up mt4 and it immediately went into a trade, wasn’t sure if I got in the position late because of this so I closed the trade to be safe.
Richard, how many losing trades in a row have you seen megadroid have?
Thank ya,
E
Hi Elvis,
I’ve had 2-3 large losers in a row before. In July 2009 I lost about 120-140 pips total from 2 losing trades on the same day! It took about 2 months to recover from that.
Most large losing trades are in the 50-60 pip range, although last week a few accounts got a 75-80 pip loss (see HERE).
I think it’s important to appreciate the size of the potential losses when you’re deciding on the risk/lot size to use.
