  1. Forgot this one, in case anybody’s interested…

    FxCBS
    22:43 Buy 1.3751 -> 23:00 1.3766 15 pips

    Both this and FinFX are on demo accounts. Wednesday’s trading doesn’t look as good. Probably will be only 3 or 4 pips.

  2. Hi Richard,

    Thanks for the explaination of Monday’s trade, the visual aid was great btw, lol.

    Tuesday I had some sort of platform glitch, it ended up taking three trades.

    First one was at 21:36 at 1.37729. It closed out at 22:23 on it’s own but the profit from the trade was immediately reversed at fxcm due to some error, Auto Account Sync with FXCM.

    No idea what that meant and was planning to call them in the morning and while I was fuming at what I thought was some ripoff, I had to leave the computer for a bit. When I returned I found it had entered two more trades! Including the same 22:43 trade you had.

    At this point I wasn’t sure what was going on because of what happened with the first trade, one of the trades (the 22:43 one) was in the black so I manually closed it off right away, the other i waited for breakeven and closed that one off as well.

    Then four minutes later I got the same msg “Auto Account Sync with FXCM” and it returned the profit from the original trade (turns out this was exactly half hour later from when it originally took it out) Actually it returned 0.3 pips more than the original reversal.

    I had noticed the price was spiking up and down around that time, I don’t know if that had something to do with it. That last trade probably would have done alot better but after the original reversal and not knowing why, I closed off the trades to be safe.

    Not sure why it took three trades either, I’ve noticed today that the spread has been high, over 3pts for about 90/95% of the time from 4 to 6 which is unusual. Not sure if there was a trade today but MD wouldn’t have taken it with the spread over 3.

  3. Hi Elvis,

    I’m not surprised you’re having those issues with FXCM. I had similar problems in 2009. I had trades that wouldn’t close, take profits and stop losses that wouldn’t execute, platform disconnecting after placing a trade, account balances changing mysteriously, and a whole host of other issues requiring lots of phone calls to sort out. They’re not my favorite broker.

    I think the people who run ATC are trying to do the right thing, but ultimately FXCM are providing the feed and order execution for their platform. That’s the problem.
