Megadroid Results: Tues 19th July 2011 — 9 Comments

  1. Does megadroid still work with FxPro? I heard they block Megadroid EA because they close auto trades during MD trading times. Who has FxPro live account using MD please share your experience?

  2. Looks like I had the best result here today:
    FinFX: 2.1 pips

    entry @ 1.41547 ; exit @ 1.41526

This was more due to positive slippage though.

  3. Yep…. poor Megadroid.

I hope it’s something temporary… MD was performing fine until it had 3 big big losses recently. I have now only about 60% of my original deposit.

It’s usually taking big risks and closing the trades with a few pips usually not even covering swap costs.

I will keep trying, but I confess I’m a bit frustrated.

  4. Can someone let me know how to stop old charts with Megadroid from loading every time I restart my MetaTrader. Before I found thi site, I tried another stratagey that uses 4 charts with Megadroid set up to with time manually set to different times to get it totrade in a bigger time window. Everytime I restart it loads those charts plus the one I want t use.

On the 19th as soon as I restared, 3 of the charts entered a trade so I let hem run. Total trades fr the day was 19 trades. I ended up with a net positive for the day but it could have easily ended badly. Still trading a demo account so no harm.

I know I should not be restarting the computer so often but have had computer and wireless connection issues lately.

    Thanks,
    Russ

  5. Hi Russell,

Q: “Can someone let me know how to stop old charts with Megadroid from loading every time I restart my MetaTrader.”

If you closed a MT4 chart, it shouldn’t re-open when you restart the MT4 terminal. I’m not exactly sure why that’s happening.

Q: “set up to with time manually set to different times to get it totrade in a bigger time window”

You can run Megadroid on multiple charts on the same trading platform, and use different manual GMT offsets with each EA/chart instance.

But to do that make sure….

    1. Each chart is EUR/USD and set to the 1 hour period.

    2. Use unique S1 and S2 reference numbers on each chart.

    3. Update to the latest version of Megadroid (version 1.37), because the prior version had some problem with manual GMT settings.
