Megadroid Results: Mon 13th Feb 2012 — 41 Comments

  1. Yesterday I had 2 trades… 2 bad trades ๐Ÿ™

    I changed my SL to 1.31568 and it hit. My demo account is still running but it looks bad. I’m curious to see if I did a wise decission yesterday…. :S

    FinFx: -24.3 – 20.4 = -44,7 pips

  2. When I woke up this morning I saw this trade. For some reason, I have restarted MT4 and MD had closed this trade : -18.8 pips

    Did someone have this behavior of MD when restarting ?

  3. My trades are currently -29 pips. Fortunately EURUSD found some support.

    Megadroid usually closes trades after 12 hours, and that’s about 30 minutes away. I’ll probably end up with a loss between 20 and 40 pips.

  4. I too was expecting the trade to close after 12 hours, but now we’re 24 minutes after. Is this new behaviour or just behaviour I haven’t seen before?

  5. My Axitrader trade just closed at break-even. It had a better entry price that my other accounts.

    I currently have trades open on 7 accounts. About -28pips at this stage.

  7. Hey guys, what’s the point of running a robot if you’re gonna ride it live??? Relax, let it do what it’s gonna do and look at it the next day….it’ll save you all a lot of stress and there’ll be no temptation to intervene. You’ll be better robot traders for it.

  8. Richard.. Is see you didn’t get a IBFX AU trade. Thought you might like to know that my IBFX AU account traded much the same as your IBFX one. Closed for 2.6 pips

  9. ATC -> 2 pips.
    Fxcbs -> 1 pips.
    Using MD for long time. And I have to admit, that better solution is to not interfere in MD trading.

  10. hi guys i also got a trade yesterday.. i went to bed as it was (-2.5 pips)
    -25.00!!! i woke up and it had closed for like a .75 cent gain!!!! for me its a big win!!! any gain, no matter how small is a win vs a loss!!!! especially since i was DOWN $25!!! i LOVE MEGADROID!!!

  11. 2 trades FXDD – +.4 and +.5 pips. It looks like it was just over 70 pips negative at one point though. I’m glad I was asleep. I wonder where this would have stopped out at?

  12. So MD just opened another trade…Its a short but MD says “upward Impule Detected” So why would it open a short trade in the first place? After last night it’s getting a little scary now…. right?

    Im sure it will reverse, even tho MD is 10 pips in the red…

  13. hi all

    So MD took its first trade for me !
    I made about a pip yesterday after a scary first few hours.
    Just wondering does broker really matter much?
    Avg spread during the trading time was about 2 pips on my IBFX AU live account.

    Richard – Just interesting your IBFX AU didnt take any trade and mine took one for small profit.

    Should I aim for a broker with even lower spread ? eg < 2.0 pips?

  14. Hi Dan,

    I’m not sure why I missed that trade. I often miss trades on that account for some reason. I’ve tried re-installing the platform etc, but it hasn’t really improved much. My US IBFX account works fine though.

    Spreads.

    MT4 spreads don’t tell the whole story unfortunately, because the spread won’t tell you whether or not the broker slips you on entry and exit, or whether trade requests get rejected etc. Brokers heavily feature “low spreads” in their marketing campaigns, but in reality trade execution is all that matters i.e. reliable fills with low slippage. The only way to assess the performance of a broker with this strategy, is to record trade results and compare them with other brokers. That’s why I record my trades on this trade journal blog. My Monthly Results will show the variation in performance between brokers over time.
