Hi Richard,
Would you please check if “NFA” is set to “false” on your FXCM, MB Trading and OANDA accounts? That is, I think I found the reason why “DollarAveraging (1.5x)” trades have not been entered on my accounts. When I set “NFA” to “false”, sure enough, I see 1.5x trades on Strategy Tester. If DollarAveraging trades are indeed dependent on NFA setting, then it could be a faulty feature, I wonder.
H Michael,
I actually have NFA set to false on all of my accounts. It doesn’t seem to impact the US accounts. I assume that if a US account violate the NFA FIFO rule, then the trade will just be rejected.
Hi Richard,
Thank you very much for your confirmation! Glad to hear it.
I like your logic; you have NFA set to false on all of your accounts, including the US accounts, assuming that a US account violates the NFA FIFO rule, then the trade will just be rejected.
Certainly, I’ll do the same. And I’d report it if NFA set to false would start opening DollarAveraging (1.5x) trades.
