Hi Richard,
I have had on Alpari uk same results as you.
No trades on the account with gmt trading an hour later.
Do you think its as the conditions have changed and seems like 1.3 will be ok as has been tuned to current market conditions.
Asif
Hi asif,
I think it’s just too early to draw any conclusions about the merits or otherwise of the earlier trading times used with version 1.3 of Megadroid. It has certainly got off to a rocky start. Not only have we had a stop, but there were several trades placed in that early trade hour (4PM to 5PM EST) that were lucky to close at break even after being down by 40 pips or so. On the flip-side we seem to be getting more trades by trading earlier. But “more trades” is not necessarily better.
The idea behind adding the one account trading 1 hour latter like version 1.21 Megadroid, was so that we have a way to objectively compare the performance of the current version (1.3) with the previous version (1.21).
I’ll continue to trade all the other accounts using the default 1.3 Megadroid settings.
Thanks buddy,
Appreciate feedback.
Richard would i be correct in assuming as i am now running my accounts on the default version of 1.3 with the following adjustments:
Have turned aggressive to: False And risk is 0.1(default)
All the rest are default
This will only enable 1 trade at a time?
However if it loses the recovery mode will go in on a higher lot size?
Am i correct?
Many thanks
Asif
I’ve only ever traded aggressive=true. I’m not 100% sure what happens when you set it to false. I assume it only places the “S1” type trades and not the “S2” type.
I don’t trade with recovery mode. I actually trade fixed lots.
The best way to find out what your specific configuration actually does, is to run a backtest from the MT4 terminal. By looking at the statement you’ll be able to tell whether 1 or 2 trades get placed at a time, and what lot sizes are used, and the impact of recovery mode on the lot size if you have that feature enabled.
